Decades in the making.

Wandawega Lake District’s story is rooted in a deep love for this beautiful oasis that extends across generations. Today, residents of Wandawega can enjoy the natural beauty of this place thanks to the work of generations of dedicated volunteers who came before us – from Wandawega Country Club, to Seminole Park, Interlaken Property Owner’s Association, and most recently, the Lake Wandawega Improvement Association.

After years of community dialogue, The Wandawega Lake District was formed in 2024 by a number of engaged community members looking to take our care of the lake to the next level, with the funding necessary for the stewardship of this special place. The purpose of the Wandawega Lake District is to preserve and protect Lake Wandawega and its surroundings, and to enhance the water quality, boating safety, and aesthetic values of Lake Wandawega as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations.
